To share in the responsibility for pursuing clients for unpaid bills, utilising various methods of debt collection / query resolution to minimise debtor days and improve cash collection.

  • Pursuing clients and third parties for all unpaid bills using telephone, written and email communication. Knowing when is the most appropriate/effective medium to use.
  • Liasing with other Credit Controllers re outstanding debt, providing assistance to them in order to resolve outstanding queries and in turn speed up the payment process.
  • Working to monthly cash collection targets in order to achieve target debtor days.
  • Keep accurate and up to date records of all debt chasing ensuring that any follow-ups get actioned at the correct time.
  • Escalate any problem accounts to the credit control manager when you believe that you have explored all possible avenues available to you in order to collect the debt.

Duties include:  To work in a smal team providing technical information, pricesand delivery information to customers.  The work involves liaising with Head Office / factories in Belgium and other departments in the Huddersfield Branch.  The business is involved in the sales of gear motor units, large industrial gear units and package drive systems.

Qualifications:
